Professional & Educational Background

Salwani Arbak (PhD) is a  Prof. Madya at the School of International Studies (SoIS), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM).  She was Post Graduate Coordinator of SoIS (2020-2021). She also served as an Advisor for the International Business Management Society (IBMS) in 2006-2008 and 2015-2017 and also was Chairman of SOIS Welfare Club (2019-2020). Dr. Salwani has a PhD degree in International Logistics from Universiti Utara Malaysia. She obtained her Master in Business Administration (MBA) and Degree in Business Administration from Universiti Teknologi MARA. She is currently involved as an active researcher in various areas such as Halal Logistics, International Strategic Management, Port Security and GIG Economy. 

Research Interests & Expertise

She is particularly interested in doing research particularly related to the Port Competitiveness, Internationalization of SMEs, Digitalization of SMEs, Export Management and Foreign Direct Investment.  Dr.  Salwani is currently preparing one book project entitled: Challenges and Opportunities of Malaysian Halal Export.
